Scientific Work
As Principal Researcher, National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), Argentina. Since 1990.
My research has focused on the systematics and evolution of fossil birds in South America and Antarctica, addressing aspects such as functional morphology, morphometric geometry, biomechanics, and paleoneurology.
Some milestones in my scientific career include:
- Author of more than a hundred scientific papers published in the highest-ranking journals in the field, cited by colleagues on more than 2700 occasions, with over 48,000 reads. H-index 22 (Scopus, January 2024).
- Two of our works were selected for the cover of the leading journal in our field (Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, Volume 35, 2015 - Issue 2 and Volume 35, 2015 - Issue 5).
- Director of 16 national and international research projects.
